On physiological level, it's in your best interest to take good care of your heart. Your heart is a strong but fragile organ: it is powered by three arteries, which are non-redundant(can't take over each other's job if one fails). If one becomes completely blocked, it may only takes a few minute of oxygen deprivation for part of a heart to die.
